Schools Project Gets The Green Light From Members

The SCS is to go ahead with the proposed Cosmetics and Personal Care Education Programme for Schools following agreement at the Special General Meeting held on 12 December 2013.

The Society will now start to work more closely with communications and research agency EdComs on the development of the project which is scheduled to be up and running in time to be used in the next academic year.

The project is designed to support teachers and encourage Key Stage 3 pupils (11-14 year olds) to pursue science while also increasing the awareness and appeal of cosmetic science as well as careers in this field.

We’ll be keeping you up to date with developments on the website and in the Newsletter so watch this space.

Meanwhile, I attach a copy of the Special General Meeting minutes outlining the discussions during the meeting on 12 December 2013.

Thank you for your support.
