Calling Young Scientists: The IFSCC Maison G De Navarre Prize is Now Open

If you’re a young scientist working in the cosmetic field it’s time to get applying for the IFSCC’s coveted Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist prize for 2015. The prize is granted every other year to enable a young cosmetic scientist to attend an IFSCC Conference. This year’s Conference will run from 21-23 September in Zurich, Switzerland.

Applicants should submit a 500-3000 word essay in English on one of the following topics:

A  How cosmetic science can contribute to the improvement of society
B  My first year of experience in the cosmetic field: problems and future hopes
C  The importance of fragrance in cosmetic products
D  The importance of cosmetics on human health Improvement
E  The role of preservatives in cosmetics

To enter, send a copy of the essay electronically to the IFSCC Secretariat (lorna.weston@ifscc.org) with the information requested on the entry form by 1 June 2015. Click here to download an entry form. A copy of the essay must also be sent to the office of the Member Society to which the applicant belongs.

Applicants must be members of good standing in their Society, which must be an IFSCC member. They must also submit proof that they are actively employed in a technical capacity in the cosmetic industry or related academia and that they meet the relevant requirements. Please note that the Award winner must attend the IFSCC Conference and accept the prize in person.
