'All About Hair Loss'

The psychological significance of hair loss is exemplified in the cliché “a woman’s crowning glory”.  It has an effect on morale, confidence and quality of life.  Many people’s personalities are identified by their hair.  The most profound emotional consequence is Hair Loss.

This presentation will focus on the three categories of temporary, semi-permanent and permanent hair loss.  Their diagnostic features, causes, treatments and update on research presently being undertaken.

There will be an explanation of the hair growth cycle, the influences of hormones, nutrition and cancer treatments both chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  Advice and tips on hair care.

Venue: London College of Fashion, John Prince's Street, London

Commencing: 18.30 hours with a light buffet and refreshments and the talk commencing at 19.00 hours
