Continuing Professional Development – Certificate
A Certificate of Attendance is awarded to all SCS members who attend SCS lectures, upon request.
This is to enable members to provide evidence of Continuing Professional Development and is used in many industries to check that people are continuing to educate themselves in subjects relevant to their particular profession and, therefore, keep themselves up to date.
In some cases, it is used to enable someone to be assessed as suitable to be awarded a particular qualification. In others, it is used to allow the recipient of a particular qualification to show that they are continuing to meet the CPD conditions set for their award.
From time to time SCS members could be asked to provide evidence of CPD activities to allow them to continue to maintain Chartered status and the SCS Certificate of Attendance at an SCS organised lecture or course demonstrates members’ continuing professional development.
