The Cosmetic Science Achievement Awards celebrate exceptional contributions to sustainability, innovation, scientific impact, and entrepreneurship in the field of cosmetic science.
These awards recognise individuals who, through a specific project or achievement, have made a meaningful impact in advancing cosmetic science—reflecting the Society for
Cosmetic Science’s mission to:
- Inspire the next generation of cosmetic innovators
- Inform through the sharing of knowledge and expertise
- Connect professionals across the industry and scientific community.
Examples:
- A new development or technology
- New research
- New patent
- New methodology
Who Can Enter?
Entries are invited in relation to current members of the Society for Cosmetic Science (SCS)
and their individual achievement in the field of cosmetic science during the past year.
The deadline for 2026 nominations has now passed.
The winners will be announced at the SCS Annual Dinner and Awards on 10th November 2026.

Using the same criteria as the Catalyst Award, the Spark Award is for those participants in their early careers, and will be awarded according to relevant time in industry (<5 years).
How to Enter
Entries should be made using the SCS Award Nomination Form which can be accessed by clicking the APPLY HERE button below.

Receipt of entry will be confirmed by the SCS

Judging of entries according to the assessment criteria

Finalists are notified October 2026

Winner(s) announced at the SCS Annual Dinner and Awards 10 November 2026

Competition Rules
By entering this award, all applicants are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the full set of competition rules, eligibility criteria, and submission requirements. Submission of an entry confirms agreement to comply with all applicable terms and conditions, including timelines, judging processes, and any supporting documentation requirements outlined in the official guidelines.
Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate, complete, and not misleading. The organisers reserve the right to verify submissions, request additional information, and disqualify any entry that does not meet the stated criteria or breaches the rules. By participating, entrants also acknowledge that the decisions of the judging panel are final and binding, and that the organisers may amend or clarify the rules where necessary to ensure the integrity and fairness of the award process.
