Constitution

The Society consists of individuals and does not admit corporate membership. The Society was formed on 7 October 1948 and has grown steadily from that date. It is one of the original members of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) formed in 1959 which now numbers 51 societies.

The management of the Society is vested in the Council, which consists of the President, the Immediate Past President, the Vice-President, the Honorary Secretary, the Honorary Treasurer, and at least nine ordinary members. The policies formed by the Council are supported by active Committees, Steering and Working Groups: Executive Committee, Scientific Programme, Education, Membership, International Journal, various working groups and the Regional Development Groups.
