General Purposes Committee - the committee consists of the President, Immediate Past President, Vice President, Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Secretary known as Officers of the Society
Role: To make recommendations to Council regarding financial and administrative operations of the Society.
Education Committee - the committee consists of individual members of the Society
Role: Maintaining the high standards of the Distance Learning Course and the stewardship of the educational activities of the Society
Scientific Programme Committee - the committee consists of individual members of the Society and has sub-Working Groups to focus on all the programmes offered by the Society
Role: To organise programmes for SCS Formulate, the Annual Conference and London Lectures
International Journal Committee - the committee consists of individual members of the Society, the President of the French Society and members of Wiley Publishing Group
Role: The stewardship of the Society's Journal, the International Journal of Cosmetic Science and the maintenance, where appropriate, of a high standard of scientific papers in all of the Society's publications.
Membership Committee - chaired by the Honorary Secreraty with individual membrs of the Society on the commmittee
Role: To consider applications for membership and to make appropriate recommendations to Council.
Publicity & Recruitment Committee - the committee consists of individual members of the Society.
Role: To identify publicity requirements, maintain the SCS newsletter and to encourage membership of the Society
Regional Development Groups - the committees consist of individual members of the Society
Role: To promote the Society's activities outside of the London area. There is a Regional Development Gorup in Wales & West and also in the North
